Frappe Partnership Levels

Understanding what the partner tiers mean and how they are earned.

How the program works

The Frappe partner program is primarily sales-driven. Partner tiers are determined by how much Frappe Cloud managed hosting a service provider sells. The more hosting revenue a partner generates, the higher their tier.

This also explains why strong implementation partners can still appear in lower tiers. Frappe Cloud hosting is relatively inexpensive, and a plan of around $25 per month is common, while implementing that same site may take several weeks and cost more than EUR 15,000. Because the partner program measures recurring hosting revenue rather than implementation revenue, a provider can deliver substantial projects and still stay in a lower tier unless they manage a large number of hosted sites.

Beyond sales volume, Frappe applies quality controls:

  • Certified professionals — All partners must have at least two full-time team members certified through Frappe School (ERPNext Functional Consultant or Frappe Framework Developer credentials).
  • Implementation track record — Partners need at least three verifiable successful ERP/ERPNext deployments to qualify.
  • Quality audits — Frappe conducts quarterly review meetings and partner audits (SOP audits), inspired by ISO 9001 process maturity standards. These assess implementation quality, customer satisfaction, and adherence to best practices.
  • Active cloud presence — Partners must maintain an active Frappe Cloud account with at least one live site.

Tier advancement and demotion

Partners advance by meeting the sales targets of the next level for two consecutive quarters. Conversely, failing to meet targets for two consecutive quarters results in demotion. Entry-level partners must upgrade at least once within their first year.

What about unlisted providers?

Many excellent ERPNext service providers in this directory do not hold an official Frappe partner tier. This does not reflect on their quality or capability. Common reasons include:

  • They offer self-hosted or third-party hosting instead of Frappe Cloud
  • They are newer to the ecosystem and building their practice
  • They focus on a local market where Frappe Cloud adoption is still growing
  • They choose not to participate in the formal partner program

The partnership tier is one data point among many. When choosing a provider, also consider their industry expertise, local regulatory knowledge, language coverage, and track record.
